Over 30 high impact companies make the shortlist for the 2019 IMR Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards
Ireland’s brightest, close-knit manufacturing teams to be celebrated across 15 different categories
DUBLIN, IRELAND- Manufacturing achievements and teamwork are to be celebrated at this years Inaugural Manufacturing and Supply Chain Awards. The emphasis on professionalism and working together will be recognised at the glittering event which will be held at The Citywest Hotel on the 17th of January 2019. High impact manufacturing businesses are firms that deliver significant results though keeping their workforce engaged and maintaining a foundation of strong values.
A total of 45 companies have been shortlisted for the awards across 15 categories which are taking place for the first time. Dedication, hard work and innovation from Ireland’s leading manufacturers will be recognised at the unique event.
Some of the categories for 2019 include:
- Best small, medium and large manufacturing company
- Smart factory manufacturer of the year
- Manufacturing team of the year – across sectors
- Engineering manufacturing team of the year
- Supply chain manufacturing partner
- Best use of robotics
- Industry research partner of the year
Finalists include Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Ringaskiddy Cork, Kerrygold Butter Packing Ltd, Java Republic, Cook Medical, Mash Direct, Intel and DellEMC.

Innovative work, close collaboration and improvement to internal operations will play a large part in the decision-making process for judges. Those on the panel include Eoin O’ Driscoll, Chairman of Tyndall Institute, Barry Kennedy, Chief Executive of IMR, Caroline Spillane, Director General Engineers Ireland, Bob Barbour, Chief Executive Competitiveness Centre, Professor Eamon Murphy, University of Limerick, Dr Christopher Keely, Trinity College Dublin and John Whelan, Chairman of Premier Publishing and Events.
Commenting at the finalist announcement Barry Kennedy CEO, Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) said ‘Although the awards are in their first year, the quality of the entries this year was extremely impressive and the decision was a very difficult one for the judges. Recognition of high quality manufacturing businesses in Ireland is long overdue and we in the IMR alongside the partners and fellow judges were both privileged and delighted to participate in this fantastic celebration of manufacturing’.
